Dark and tedius. Cervantes has a love for history and for keeping his heritage a secret. His name is something of a known card in both the human and the monster world to the point that he fits into neither. He covers his own history in fog and makes it unimportant even though it involves a bloodline that is probably the most significant in human history. The great family of hunters were on the front line of more than one war and their founder was the one that made the great Alucard pause to respect humanity for a brief moment.
He sees his place in the two families he comes from as one of peace that unites both the hunter world and the monster world. Following a code that justifies killing only to damn an impure soul of a monster be it human or another race so that he may preserve the life of innocence everywhere. With his raising he sees innocence as something to be cherished and life as a valueable substance that must be guarded with all the power one ever attains.
With his monster form he only seems to have his traits of compassion exemplified unless he has been enraged. The necromancer sees himself as a true walker of the dead, a reminder of the fact that there is life beyond this one. With that life comes a responsibility in this walk to live up to the full potential that you can. To do good and be merciful, to make peace and to strike down evil when it surfaces. Everyone has a reason for their life and to walk without finding it would be the greatest sin of all.

Born as the result of a short relationship between a vampire hunter of exemplary power and a Necromancer from the ancient world of Persia. His father and mother were both of royal blood lines, one bearing the power of untold necromancer ability steeped in clashes with the underworld and the other was a direct descendant of the hunter family founding member: Abraham Van Hellsing.
His Father had skills linked in with something akin to a shinobi, graceful with the sword and with a heart that went out to his dying people. In ancient times that man searched for a cure to a plague that tore his civilization apart, striking men and women sick with a slow and painful disease. His want to save his people in northern Persia drove him to search in the dark arts and eventually find his way into the underwold of Egypt where he crossed the river Styx in search for the flower that granted amnesty from death. There he found himself in contest with the beings of the underworld, the guardians to that gate of death. Anubis himself contended with his father in a challenge for the right to traverse the river let alone search for the fabled flower.
In a contest that drove Christopher Barkins across the many gates of the underworld he gained more raw necromancer energy than any being allowed to walk the earth. With that power he fought the lords of the underworld in turn and earned his right to break from the gates of hell on the inside. In many legends this is the birth of the first necromaner, a being that is allowed to walk back and forth from the underworld without the penalty of death. Upon emerging the man cured the plauge with his abilities and wrote down his teaching for all the world to know. However, his magic was darker than any warlock could wield and often shunned even by those of similar heritage. The art of necromancy was one far more dangerous than any magic seen upon the earth and was condemned by all but a few to let it fall into ruin and mystery even among monsters. Indeed, Christopher Barkins became a relic even among the people that he cured and watched Persia grow from a small empire into a large one as history rolled by. He walked from place to place, learning to hide himself and let the course of the world roll by. That man saw many things come to be including the foundation of the hellsing family and the first vampires that walked the earth. Eventually beings of dark intent stumbled upon the writings he had left behind and became fearful in their own right. In seeking to save his people he had only added to the calamity that was slowly climbing to a point that drove the human and the monster worlds to be at incredible odds with eachother.
Christopher Barkins melted from time and history almost completely, leaving behind a legend that would have made him one of the first dark lords or an equivelant thereof. As a necromancer he would never die of pure age nor by any lesser than himself so he walked the earth as a common human. He learned many things in his life, including compassion in a world fueled by hate. The difference between a monster and a true monster that could reside in any race, including humans. Eventually he was discovered as a spell caster by an adept in the sensing field, a hunter named Clarissa Van Hellsing. The descendant of the legendary hunter gave him chase and strove to strike him down but was rewarded with a heart full of confusion when her prey did not fight back. The necromancer instead took every wound she could deal and gave his life's story in return, going as far as to heal a wound that the woman inflicted upon herself from a close range explosion of an amplified hand grenade.
It was there that a friendship and eventually relationship began.
Cervantes was born into a world of hatred but with two parents that attempted to steer his heart far from it. Being raised by a hunter and a monster made him a contradiction that was slowly accepted by the hellsing family but it was eventually accepted. His creed became one that was exposed to both sides of death and regarded it seriously, monster hunting was an act to be taken carefully as it meant condemnation for most. He was introduced to the idea of innocence and pure evil side by side and given the choice of which he would align himself with. The boy's father seemed to have disappeared by the time he was of age to recall his memories but he was left with writings and words of wisdom in many forms. He grew under the guidance of his mother as a Hellsing despite the discrimination from both humans and monsters. The boy found no love in either world except from his family so he pitied them and strove to protect them in a way they would never understand. He set out to be a man that would treasure innocence and condemn the impure soul of a true monster, to a place where even a demon would suffer eternally.
When he grew old enough his family discovered Yokai academy and covertly began correspondance with the Head Master. Upon hearing of the secret heir of the family the Wizard carefully struck a deal with the famous family, one that would allow their son to grow up alongside monsters as they learned to embrace humanity. This would be a place that would hopefully enforce what he had already been taught and give him reason to become more powerful as a necromancer like his father before him. The young boy enrolled as an expert of monster history that taught class as a student and still attended the school normally.

Necromancy
As a specialized spell caster Cervantes' magic all aligns with pure undead and dark arts of the underworld. All spells he creates resonate with some section of the underworld and his body is enchanted to heal itself as long as he has energy. His overall power has to do with the specific ability to walk between the realm of the dead and that of the living far more than any other necromancer as his father was the first to break the doors. He holds the unique ability to summon the gates of varying underworlds themselves in order to increase his abilities.
In the presence of a gate his speed and strength are treated as one rank higher and in the underworld itself everything about Cervantes is treated as two ranks higher. Needless to say, do not attempt to fight him in hell.
Monster Techniques:[/b]
Name: Gates of the Underworld
Description: A technique that summons one of the gates of the various underworlds of the user's choosing. This gate will errupt up out of the ground and cause a change in the environment depending on what version of the underworld has been choosen. To be taken forcibly through this gate means entering the underworld itself, directly and anyone can enter but very few can come back without the aide of a necromancer.

Name: Brimstone and Hellfire
Description: The ability to summon and bend hellfire and brimstome, essentially a powerful type of flame and a powerful magma equivelant. These elements will burn whatever they touch with the fury of every past sin and pain they have caused. Someone needs to expend energy in the form of flaring their own Yoki at least as strongly as this technique itself in order to put out the flame.
The flames are pure black and seem to hiss and crackle with a sound akin to the gnashing of a million teeth. The brimstone itself is summoned by touching a part of the earth and watching it explode apart with firey red lines and turn to a burnt, black color. Hellfire is summon into the hands of the user and can be bent to take many shapes or be thrown like a blast of normal fire.

Name: Hands of the River Styx
Description: An ability that causes a hundred hands to sprout from the ground, made of a shadow. These limbs stretch and contort like mollasses, they have the same the speed and strength as the user. Standing still allows the user to control them perfectly but while moving all they hands will do is grope for any enemies in the nearby area and try to pin them down.
These hands move along the ground and can extend up to twenty feet in length. When used in the presence of the gate of the 'Egyptian' underworld this technique is treated as one rank higher. Inside the Egyptian underworld this technique is treated as two ranks higher.

Name: Fiends of the Neither Neither World
Description: This ability summons a group of skeletons, wraiths or otherwise ethereal ghouls and spooks. These Fiends number nine in total and are always one letter grade below the user of this technique. They will move and attack whoever Cervantes points out as an enemy with various weapons. Upon being slain skeletons will re-animate themselves unless they have been blown to bits past what their bones can take and ghosts have the same ability as normal ghosts.

Name: Darkness of the Underworld
Description: This will plunge an area into pitch black darkness, a bubble fifty feet in diameter that keeps the user at the center. The user controls what is visible in this spectrum and it can only be destroyed by someone flaring and expending their Yoki one rank higher than what this technique costs.
